Summer 2014 Goals

Hello Hello, As always I hope everyone is Healthy, Happy & feeling Loved! :-) I just wanted to keep my readers up on what I'm up to these days. This Summer I'm working on 1.Getting in shape 2.Sewing (A. basics B. Babygirl & C. Myself) 3.My Organization (Over due) 4.Writing more--Blogging once a week 5. Day trips w/ Mini every other weekend & spending more time with the boys 6.Sketching Design ideas 7. Being more Grateful So that's what I'm up to this Summer. Comfort in the Uncomfortable

Hello Gorgeous Girls! I hope you all are having a Great 2014 so far!! So many Blessings going in my World that I can't help but to be all smile!! I still can't believe my Baby is 2 years old!! I am so blessed.Time does truly go by quickly, so I am enjoying every single moment! Speaking of time going by quickly the following post was written on a Post-it note & stuck inside of a book I was reading last September. When I picked up the book this past weekend to flip through it came out. Sadly I write blog posts & they never see the light of day. Working hard to change that. On to the Comfort in the Uncomfortable. We deny and limit ourselves from doing what we were created to do for reasons not limited but including that we are unqualified, we don't have enough education and experience, etc. (Just reminded myself of a quote I posted on Facebook a few years ago "God doesn't call the qualified He Qualifies the called.") It's too hard, no one will let us...and on & on go our excuses. Yet we hold on to the Uncomfortable thing that we hate, or excuse me strongly dislike. That thing that brings us absolutely no joy, no happiness. We will learn to do that which we have no interest in or loathe but won't exercise the same to learn the thing that we Day Dream about while doing the thing we hate. SMH!!! What sense does that make? Why would someone do something so backwards?? Because we're too afraid to do what we love, desire, long for & dare I say lust for. Scared of what? Rejection, not meeting the expectations of those around us, not being good enough our first try, the list goes on & on, but the biggest Fear for many of us is Failure. If we do try and "fail" what do we have left?? At least with that little or Big Dream in our pocket to take out and Day Dream about on our worse day that which we hate we have some hope....even if its only in a 5 minute Day Dream. Then we tuck it back into our pocket & press forward back into the work we loathe, but "pays the bills". I mean that's what we were created for right??? To pay the bills so that we can go to work to pay the bills. Hmmmm...Anyone else think our logic train got off track somewhere or is it just me??? Little do we realize that our Shine & Sparkle dulls more & more each year we choose (b/c it really is a choice in self torture)to suppress our desires, our dreams, our Purpose. Until we become dull, lifeless, old and bitter. Singing songs of should've, would've could've. Do you know what happens when you're living unfulfilled? You start to reach for everything else...food, sex, drugs, negative friends, unhealthy relationships. You start to pull others dreams down b/c we never had the courage to go for what we've had in our hearts so long the we become "that' girl. Don't become "That" girl...follow your dreams to Goals to actions.

ONE of the Greatest Gifts You can yourself....

Happy Thursday Dolls!! As always I pray that everything is FABUU with you!! My Birthday is 3 days away!!! Can I just tell you I've never been so excited for a Birthday since I was a Little Girl!!! Since its almost my 33rd birthday (gasp!!! Don't tell anyone ok??? ;-) ) This post is about ONE of the most awesome gifts you can give to yourself.... The gift of Operating in you Gifting!! Even if you are unsure of what your calling is this post should help you zero in on it. Why do I think that operating in your calling/gifting is one of the most awesome gifts that only you can present to yourself? Because of the awesome feeling that comes from doing what you were created to do. It is a feeling of freedom, light airiness... a feeling of peace. The peace in knowing that this is why I am here, I'm doing some good in the World. Almost 100% of the time that we're not Operating in our Calling/Gifts we're in a place of dissatisfaction with our lives. Some of us think that when we make more $$$ or have newest/best whatever you're into that's where the Peace will come in. Not to sound as if your Ambitions are wrong, but they may need to be pointed into a different direction.. one of purpose. When you do what you love & love what you do that Joy, Happiness, and Peace just shine through you. You spring out of bed ready for your day. I'm in no way saying you won't have rough moments, but because you're operating in your gifting you'll get through those "moments" and back to your place of peace knowing, "I was made for this". When we are operating in our Purpose for being alive I believe we will actually enjoy what we are doing. We speak & act in confidence, studying new material in our field is not a chore but a pleasure. Unlike the times when we're doing what have no interest or something we "fell" into to pay the bills. I am I the only one that feels that its so crazy how we can force ourselves to work jobs that we hate while day dreaming of the Thing the we love, but almost holding it on a pedestal to high for us to reach, with fear that we will fail at our dreams? Then what would we have if we failed at our Love, our Secret Passion??? You know what we'll have if we fail??? Another opportunity to begin again, & again until we Master it & become Experts in our fields of Purpose. I remember hearing Dr. Dennis Kimbro (one of my favorite authors) say in an interview "When you get to your place of excellence the Market place will seek you out. You must become excellent in your field of expertise." He referred to that as the place where your work feels more like play than it does work. This reminds me of an Albert Einstein quote "“Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid.” How many of us live daily, weekly, yearly, a life time like the fish trying to climb the tree??? I've lived most of my life like a fish trying to climb a tree. Instead of just doing what I've been called to do because my calling always felt too....easy or rather unimportant to God's kingdom. I remember being on the bus to work telling my A.B.S. (Adopted big Sis) Tracie that there was no way that God created me to do anything with the things I loved: Style, Fashion & Beauty. Not taking into account my love for writing & encouraging people. So here I am combining my love of Style, Fashion, Beauty with my Love of writing & encouraging others to Feel, Look & See the Best in themselves. KEEP CALM THE BROWN GLAMOUR IS BACK !!!

Good Morning Dolls, I hope everyone is having a Phenomenal Day! It has been quite a huge gap time since I last wrote. The Family Life has been my primary focus for quite a while now. My baby girl is 19 months & absolutely Beautiful & Brilliant!!! I'm now the Bonus-Mom (Step-Mom is so Cinderella & She's too Fly for that ;-) ) to two teenage boys. I've been enjoying my blended family, and new roles in my life but missing blogging a lot.:-( I discovered while I was away that I am a person that must create whether it is with words, style, beauty, sewing, baking or cooking (she cooks now, I promise you she's still in amazement, too! LOL). We're all creative, but a lot of us do not create. For me to not create is the equivalent of Sexual frustration to the seriously celibate person. (Is that over sharing??) It makes Mortina moody, emotional & mean for no darn reason or at least it would seem to those around me. So, I'm back for good!! Xoxo M

Ok that was all my energy for the day! LOL I received an email from my friend on something I sent her about 2years ago. When I saw a quote on Rev Run's words of wisdom twitter " When you're motivated by someone else's success, that person has control over you." Good or bad its still control.

February 17, 2010:
Competition is an illusion. Our only competition in life is ourselves. The enemy will try to show us people surpassing us in what seems to be common goals, but don't fall for it. We're not on their level and they are not on ours. As Lonye' read in Hebrews 12, tonight we're to run the race set before us not the chick down the street or the next department over. So what we do the same job, but she's riding in an Escalade, So what if I poured my heart in that performance, but she got the part; so what if I've been running reports all day & she just sounders in when she gets ready & still got a raise. If the words on the Good Fellas, "Forget about it!" Be like those race horses & put on your blinders everyone morning as you walk to the starting line (when they race they don't see the competition, just their lanes), say a prayer, take your mark, and take off so fast your doubts, fears, & obstacles can't even catch up with you let alone word of what the next chick is doing. The only way to get to the winner circle is to finish YOUR race. In our Father's winner circle there's room for everyone of us. The choice is yours you can sit & clock her or clock in some serious speed in your own race. To all those that go before me in a similar dream, congrats & God bless you in YOUR race. See you in the winner circle, I'm getting my stretch on now because what God has for me is for me. If you enjoyed this & it helped you great! but it was a pep talk for Walla Don't get caught up in the illusion. Just thought you could use too.

February 6, 2012:
When you love yourself you're too worried about your own back yard to mind the Jones next doors. When you truly love yourself you are grateful to what God is doing in your life. When you lose sight of what's Hes done & doing in your life you are being ungrateful & subcoming to "this world's" ways aka competition. (Be in the world but not of it) In God's Kingdom He has room & a special assignment for each of us to complete. And although the woman in the next office may be doing something similar her assignment and path are completely different from yours. Only you can bring what you special spin to your assignment!!! Go ahead & do it like only YOU can!!! The longer you wait the more people are lost & in need of whatever your gifting may be.

As a Woman Thinketh so IS She

Good morning Ladies!!

This is the day the Lord has made and we will REJOICE and be glad in it!!! Did you wake up this morning??? If you're reading this that means Yes you did & you should be rejoicing!!! Bump everything else! Let's Rejoice for life & health even if its a little bit of health, be thankful for it anyway!!! :-)

So in keeping with my post from yesterday this is a part my I Love ME!!! month series. As a Woman thinketh in heart so IS she Proverbs 23:7. A lot of times when you see "the heart" it really means the mind. So, what are you thinking about yourself today? Are you thinking about how you are fearfully & wonderfully made (Psalms 139:14)? Are you thinking you are beautiful? Talented? Amazing? Loved? Blessed? You should be, your life up until this very moment a direct reflection of your past thoughts. So look around you. The good yep that's your thoughts, the negative....yeah, you had a hand in it too.

Self love starts first with our thoughts. We have to know we are worthy of the best that life has to offer before we can receive it. After we have programmed or in some cases reprogrammed our minds to think & know this is a fact then the words we speak about our selves will reflect our thoughts and then our actions will line up with our thoughts, actions & become our character. Who are you thinking yourself into becoming? A Victor or a Victim; Rich or poor: Success or failure? What every you become Divas is up to Y-O-U!!!! Sure in life people have tried to tell you who you are & what you become, but the final say in the matter or any matter concerning you is ultimately yours alone. You decide what to believe about yourself not the person that has spoken negativity over you whether it was in childhood or as an adult. Let all of that go & embrace new & positive self thoughts, talk & evetually actions.

You have to think about yourself anyway, so you might as well think something positive!!!


Product I LOVE!!: Since I've been pregnant I've been using the Cococare 100% COCOA BUTTER "The yellow stick" on my face. My normal (Cetaphil in am & Aveeno in the pm)moisturizer has Salicylic acid in it so I discontinues it until after Peanut's birth in March. You never know what your body is absorbing,even in small doses, so just to be on the safe side I'm using Cocoa butter. It works for me & I haven't had any breakouts. I warm it on the back of my hands (I've noticed that the burn mark on my hand has almost completely disappeared) then rub the stick on my face & rub in afterwards to moisturize. Not muss no fuss! I also carry on in my purse for my lips in case of emergency.

I love ME month!!

Hey Dolls!!! How's everyone?!! Well I hope! Since my laptop is acting out I'm typing this from my Kindle Fire,(soon love with this) so it will be short & to the point. I'm declaring this February 2012 the First Annual I Love Me Month!! Who said so? Me! Who gave me authority? Me! How or why? Because I can & we deserve it! Who's us? Me & you!! So often we take care of and love on everyone but Ourselves. If you have a Valentine or not your assignment,should you choose to accept is practice self love & pampering for the next 29 days. Showing yourself some form of love daily. I'll be blogging daily this month to to inspire & keept you motivated. Please don't give that I don't have the $$$ b/c you can do yhngs for yourself for FREE!! Off with you now to take care of Y-O-U! That's an order chop-chop!
