Good Morning Fabulous Ones ! It's a bit of a dreary day in Wilmington, but the way I feel I could light up the whole world right now! Why so much light, and happiness? Because I've finally found & embraced my God given purpose. But 1st please forgive me for starting, & not keeping up on my blogging. You're girl has been dealing with somethings to be honest & transparent with you. I had a mutual break up with the man I just knew was "the One". I really needed time to heal from the relationship before this one. Yeah, your girl jumped into things with the Music Man without completely healing from the 8 years (age 18 to 26) on emotional abuse and neglect from myself and others I had endured before him. Needless to say I am taking time for me to heal; rediscovering my Passions and just Doin' ME hard! Please, don't get it twisted you're girl is not harboring any bad feeling towards either man. I've lessons from both experiences & I am aware of my relationship patterns, that need to be dealt with & broken. I can truly say I wish them both nothing, but God's Love, Favor & blessings in their lives. Forgiveness is so freeing!!! It's not really for the other person it's for you, but well chat about that at a later date.
During this period of healing I've started an Image Consulting & Accessories business :Bougie Broads Image Consulting & Boutique. (Yep you read it right.) My Image Consulting is not just your outer appearance but also your inner appearance. Because if your inner image is distorted you'll out will never be right. This apart of my God given purpose, and the reason why I am so filled with joy Chicas! I've fighting it for a minute now, but I summit.
The other thing I've been dealing with is actually something God has been dealing with me on. From the start I've been battling what I wanted this blog to be & what my Spirit has told me it should be. I wanted to create a fashion & beauty blog ( just like everyone else), but with inspirational Mondays. My Spirit, however, has been telling me to use this as vehicle to show other's the Goodness & Glory of God and the amazing things He's done in my life and in the lives of those around me by sharing testimonies from the lives of Brown Girls just like you. Y'all know the Bible says you can't serve two masters.
So Brown Glamour Girl is not going to be the fashion & beauty blog it was originally planned to be. It will instead be Inspirational & Faith based, to motivate you reach for and grab your dreams and shake off depression, low self-esteem, envy, and negativity.
God blesses each and everyone of us with talents and gifts. Your talents are the things that come easy to you. For some it might be math, for others it may be playing music instruments. My talents are with fashion & Beauty. The gifts are Spiritual gifts that we are to use to bring Glory to Him and bring others to Christ. My Spiritual gift is the Gift of Encouragement. This blog is me using my Gift to please God. Once in a blue my talent may show up in here, but this is about Him, not me. I hope you are inspired.
