Get Your Image Together

Hi Ladies! I hope everyone enjoyed there weekend. :-)

I took some Image Consulting courses at FIT about a year ago that were really good. Loved the instructor & the ladies I met from all walks of life. The only thing missing from the course was a firm foundation. Yes, we learned the essentials like how to tell what colors look best on a client and a little about make-up, the proper silhouettes for each body type, ect. But the foundation I'm speaking of has nothing to do with proper under garments (although that is very important too), its the the ones that starts with each one of us inside.



I can teach you to proper make-up techniques, which clothes flatter, and how to choose fab accessories to top off your look, but it will be a total waste of time if your not loving what's under the clothes & make-up. The proper image make-over starts in your head not at the make-up counter or the fitting rooms. If you can't say, " I love _______ about me," and work that thing for all its worth with love & confidence you might as well be wearing a burlap sack instead of Michael Kors. However if you rocked that itchy sack with the perfect accessories of self-love & knowledge of your worth, you could make could single handily make that sack the hottest new trend! Don't act like you Dolls haven't seen a chick wearing something you would've never in a million years thought of or even worn & somehow its looks fresh & fab on her. Its not the look its the confidence that the look is merely an accessory to. Its her inner love of self no matter what you seem to think about what she's wearing. When our inner lover is showing us love & approval it shines so brightly that those around us think its are clothes that make us walk in authority. Really its knowing who you are & whose you are, how fearfully & wonderfully you were created to be.



Here at Brown Glamour Girl I am focused on Image rebuilding from the inside out. The foundation for this blog is Psalm 139:14. Every single woman reading this has it in her to be an intelligent, fly, fit, fabulous, powerful, sexy, creative, talented Glamour Girl, she just has to first believe it her self. Some of you are thingking, oh, she's stuck on herself, she thinks she's all that,ect. Not yet but I'm working on it. ;-) That's far from the truth. I started out life believing what other told me about me (more of the negative then the positive). The results were low self-esteem & not even knowing what self-worth meant. (SMH) Which lead to bad desicions in life, relationships, poor health, image & upkeep and putting other's before me.



Now I choose to see myself as My Creator & Heavenly Father made me to be : Fearfully & wonderfully made capable of all things written in His plans for me. Its has not been an over night change, its an on going everyday lesson on love (self). I have my moments, where I'm not feeling fab, and that I can't take on the world, and I'm sure you will too. But the key is not to stay there but to drag yourself up & out of the Valley by your brastraps, and most times you'll need to pray yourself out. If I can get my fabulous Dolls to see and feel how amazing they are no matter what they were told growing up, by that mean chick back in the day, or that butthole who tried to keep you down so that he could keep you under his thumb. You are beautiful, intelligent, creative, talented, sexy,desirable, a gorgeous goddess that is loved & favored by God.
